For all the mayo haters of the world…

March 20, 2009

For all you mayo-haters out there in the world, I know that summer grilling extravaganzas come with a bit of anxiety.  Sure, you like potatoes as much as the next guy, and a bit if chopped egg, celery, and onion certainly never hurt anyone.  But the mayo…

Honey Mustard Infused Grilled Potato Salad

5-6 medium red potatoes, boiled
1/4 cup red onion, sauteed
2 T dijon mustard
1 T honey
1/4 cup water, very warm

Boil potatoes and let cool.
Quarter. Whisk liquid ingredients and toss in potatoes.
Let rest 20 minutes. Preheat grill and place potato quarters on hot grill.
Cook until nice grill marks appear.
Return to bowl with leftover dressing. Toss with sauteed red onions. Serve warm. Garnish with scallions, if desired

I love this! I’m a mayo hater, although I’ll make an exception for pesto mayo, because pesto just makes everything more delicious. Very cute blog!

what percentage of the population suffers from mayo hating?? it must be a large one if there is a term for it. i do not understand these people, but three of them have recently become my housemates. i will try this, giving up my former fame, not fortune.
